are 5 things to consider before interviewing contractors for your upcoming project.
1. Do you want someone that will take care of everything or do you prefer to deal with each subcontractor yourself?
2. Ask them to explain the process to you. Are they speaking in general terms or talking to you in detail?
3. What type of materials will be used in your remodel? Are they becoming irritated with the amount of questions or are they addressing your concerns with detail and patience? A good contractor will take their time explaining and addressing your needs and concerns until you feel comfortable with the process.
4. Will they provide you with an agreement that clearly states the work that will be performed, time frame and warranty period in writing?
5. Do you feel comfortable with them?
Many homeowners in Texas will interview 3 contractors before making a decision. Listen to your mind and don’t decide on price and you should do fine.
