Although Microsoft CRM adds tremendous value to a business in helping improve customer relationships, there are a few issues regarding upgrades. It is important to understand these issues so there are no surprises. Therefore, if you have been using the 3.0 Microsoft CRM sales tools and plan upgrading to the 4.0 version, you need to be aware of potential problems. Keep in mind that not everyone will experience an upgrade issue but the possibility is there.

The following are some of the most common upgrade issues associated with Microsoft CRM:

  • Support customization for Un is not upgradeable
  • GP,and other connectors are not upgradeable
  • Mobile Express 3.0 will not upgrade
  • Third party tools to include C360 will have issues when upgrading

  • Seible’s CRM accelerator might experience upgrade issues
  • Outlook Client does not upgrade
  • Custom code used for Outlook is not upgradeable
  • Datamigration Pack does not upgrade
