Managing Large Volumes of Web Design Pages
Sometimes, web design can become a massive project, resulting in far too many pages for the website. While having many pages to offer customers is not necessarily a bad thing, you need to remember that the person who will be working to update those pages may disagree. Now, if one website is all that you are managing, then you could use your web design skills to be as creative as you like. However, if you manage more than one, you could find yourself becoming very frustrated. True, not all large websites require many changes, but some do, depending on the site.
If you were creating an ecommerce website, chances are you might not have many pages to build or manage. Now, if you were going with internet marketing, using some of the website for seminars, online lesson plans, e-books, and so on, then you could end up with a huge amount of pages. It is also important to consider the type of pages. Some examples would include static pages versus interactive, questionnaires, catalog pages for online shopping, and so on. Be sure you use the appropriate program when designing your website while considering the management end upon completion.
