The Psychological Effects of Hair Loss

Many people afflicted with hair problems serve secondary effect due to inability to cope with their new predicament. Before the hair transplant operation is carried performed many people opt to wear hats or disguise make ups as wigs which sometimes make them look ridiculous. The humiliation is added when the wig accidentally falls or is made the subject of ridicule by friends and colleagues.

Hair transplants have greatly improved the lives of people who earlier could no attend any public or private functions due to loss of confidence and self esteem. Many people suffer silently without consulting for help as counseling or taking medicine prescribed by a doctor. In some cultures baldness is taken to be a blessing thus there is no stigma attached to it but in some it is like a curse hence people with hair loss are discriminated and segregated causing a lot of pain and anguish. All these are due to misinformation and education should be done.

If you have ever met someone who is always with a hat and hates to places where hats are not allowed you should diagnose him or her to suffering from hair problems effects. Women are luckier than men for have very many ways to conceal hair loss. They have a variety of wigs, weaves and different hair styles which are very effective. But despite the concealment they inner self still remain hurting.

Do not let your loved ones suffer in silence, encourage them to go for counseling or transplant. If the problem is discovered early let the take hair loss delaying medicine.
